She doesn't resist as they raise
the handcuffs, but continues to sing....This is my house, my grass, my sky
where I sort dreams, passing through
a sieve of rain.
Under this roof, I reach
for my lantern and quill,
pump handle and promise
the water will flow, the doors
will not lock me out.
